Congratulations to the Winners and Runners-up of the 2021 Made in Alberta Awards
The third annual Made in Alberta Awards has taken place over a period of continued turbulence for Alberta small businesses. This has made the celebration of local products and local makers more important and vibrant than ever.
Across the province and over 11 categories, Avenue‘s Made in Alberta Awards, presented in association with connectFirst and SAIT, highlight the best of a full range of locally made products. The judging process began with Avenue’s Made in Alberta expert judging panels with two or more judges per category reviewing every eligible entrant. At the same time, readers voted online for the Readers’ Choice winner. The winners are featured in the October issue of Avenue as well as the all-new Made in Alberta magazine that will be distributed throughout the province.
Whether you’re looking for something to eat, drink, or wear; something to give or something to enjoy for yourself; or if you’re looking to be inspired by stories of Alberta artisans — you’ll find it here.
The Made in Alberta program also includes the Made in Alberta Awards and Conference, which will take place online this year with sessions on October 13 and 14 and conclude with an awards celebration. The Made in Alberta Awards and Conference is presented with the support of sponsors connectFirst, MNP, Oxford Properties, SAIT, GlobalTV and Calgary Economic Development and the Trade Accelerator Program.
The Made in Alberta Awards will also have two pop-up markets hosted by Oxford Properties — however, these have been postponed due to the current phase of the pandemic.
